– Development of energy capacities of Perm region is one of the key tasks of the local authorities

There is no alternative to nuclear power plants. We must explain to the public that nuclear energy has big advantages over the other energy sources. Formerly, I was deputy from Chelyabinsk region with its nuclear cities of Snezinsk and Ozyorsk, so, I know this problem. I see no alternative for either Perm region or the whole country. We must take active steps to make this project true and I am ready to take an active part in its public discussions. I am sure that some people will oppose this project arguing some alleged ecological dangers, but nuclear energy is not more dangerous than car emissions. 

As regards the choice of the construction site, I think that geological factors must be given priority here. So, it is early yet to say where exactly the plant will be built.
