TAEK (Turkish Atomic Energy Authority) has recognized that the offer of Atomstroyexport concerning the construction of Turkey’s first NPP meets the technological criteria
We have already proved that the technological platform of our WWER reactors has right to international life. Our projects in China, India, Bulgaria are the best proofs of that. I think that its not news for anybody that our projects are well grounded both technically and economically. That’s why the approval of our technical offer in Turkey was quite logical. I am sure that our financial offer will also be approved as here too we are quite competitive or other countries would not cooperate with our NPP constructors. Quite recently we won the right to build Belene NPP in Bulgaria. There we had quite serious rivals.
The Turkish plant is supposed to have four 1,200MW WWER reactors. Similar reactors are being presently built in Voronezh and near St.Petersburg. The NPP-2006 project is the next evolutionary stage of WWER-1000 – reactor that is successfully operated in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria. Thus, we continue introducing our modern highly competitive technologies on the world NPP construction market.
