– Possible participation of Polish engineers and specialists in Baltic NPP project would help to enlarge and strengthen ties between Kaliningrad region and Poland

Baltic Nuclear Power Plant will be built in the north-east of Kaliningrad region. The 1st unit will be launched in 2016. Almost 5bln RUR will be invested in this project. Baltic NPP will be built by companies incorporated into Atomenergoprom OJSC.

It is obvious that the possible participation of Polish engineers and specialists in the Baltic NPP project would help to enlarge and strengthen ties between Kaliningrad region and Poland and would have a positive effect on their neighbor relations. Presently, European is returning to nuclear energy as a source of clean energy. It is obvious that the safety and ecological standards are absolute priorities of such projects.
