— All these activities will increase efficiency of management of this unit of atomic industry, that will result in the consolidation of all stages of fuel production, and, consequently, leads to cost saving.
Rosatom State Corporation approved the decision to establish on the basis of JSC “TVEL” (a 100% subsidiary of ”Atomenergoprom”) the Fuel Company. This decision was made as the implementation of measures to restructure the Nuclear Power Industry in order to improve its efficiency.
In accordance with the decision, in the first phase, there will be implemented transfer to JSC “TVEL” shares of JSC “Combined company «separation-sublimating complex» ( «OK» RSK «, a 100%» subsidiary of JSC «Atomenergoprom”, consolidates 100% of shares of sublimatno-dividing plants – “Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Works“,» PA «Electrochemical Plant», «Ural Electrochemical Plant» and JSC «Siberian Chemical Complex»).
In addition, to JSC “TVEL” there will be transferred 100% shares of JSC «Engineering Center“, “Russian gas centrifuges”, which integrates the enterprises of nuclear industry involved in the development and production of the major (gas centrifuges) and auxiliary equipment for the dividing enterprises — JSC» Vladimir Production association “Tochmash «, JSC» Kovrov Mechanical Plant «, JSC» Design Bureau, Nizhny Novgorod «, JSC» Centrotech SPb”, LLC «Novouralsk research and design center», LLC «Novouralsk Instrument-Making Plant», LLC «Ural Plant of gas centrifuges“ .

All these activities will increase the efficiency of management of this unit of atomic industry, that will result in the consolidation of all stages of fuel production, and, consequently, lead to cost saving. I.e. the solution will allow to create a single production chain. True, from this chain there will be removed uranium mining and supply of abroad (these is performed by mining assets of Rosatom consolidated by “Atomredmetzoloto» and « Tekhsnabexport»).
The re-engineering will also bring non-core assets in subsidiaries, and subsequently on the basis of these assets one will be able to develop new activities.
In addition, there should be increase in efficiency of usage of the budget funds and the ability to control technological processes. Increase in management efficiency, resulted in centralization according to the developers of the project should increase the income of «Rosatom» as well as inpayment to the federal budget. In general, establishing of the Fuel company would mean for the industry an increase in competitiveness at the participation in foreign tenders. In the future, the company will serve as a base for further consolidation in the industry.
