— The full-capacity launch of the 1st unit of Tianwan NPP in China is a big success of the Russian nuclear power engineering

On Dec 9 Atomstroyexport company was permitted by the National Supervisory Agency of China (NNC) to raise the nominal capacity of the 1st unit of Tianwan NPP to 100%. This will allow the plant to operate at 1,075 MW.

“This event has marked the successful competition of a serious and very important project. The full-capacity launch of the 1st unit of Tianwan NPP is a big success, an excellent finale of the project,” says Opekunov.

“Russia has proved once again that it has great potential and is able to carry out complex NPP construction projects.”

“Such events can hardly be neglected by the countries wishing to develop their nuclear power sectors,” says Opekunov.
