«In 2006 the Russian authorities made fundamental political decisions on the nuclear power sector development. However, today, we should take real, practical steps in order to fulfill our plans,» says the Executive Vice President of the Nuclear Association of Russia, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Sergey Kushnaryov.
The Russian authorities have drastically changed their attitude to nuclear power engineering and there are a number of reasons for that: the impeding energy crisis, the need to protect sovereignty, the strategic attitude towards the problem in most countries, the opinion of authoritative scientists and experts, ect. Kushnaryov believes that the Russian Government was even a bit late with the energy complex development program. If we want to get results in time, we should start beforehand.
«The first thing we should do, if we want all our plans to come true, is to build an effective personnel training and retraining system, we should preserve and pass the experience and knowledge acquired by our specialists, scientists and manufacturers. I think that the promising branches will strongly depend on our ability to effectively organize the work of all the acting parties.
