— Federal law on the reformation of the nuclear power industry will bring its activities into conformity legal norms

We need the federal law on the reformation of the nuclear power industry to be able to bring its life cycle into conformity with legal norms. The law says that all nuclear facilities and nuclear materials should be owned by the state. Nevertheless, in early 90s many mining companies and companies producing was partly privatized. This was leading to violations. State-owned uranium was getting into private hands. All this required legal regulation.

The first part of the law stipulates the division of the nuclear power industry into energy-generating and military sectors, with all of those future structures to be determined by the President. Thus, the President is fully responsible for correctly dividing the sphere and for not breaking the relevant links. In order to be able to build two nuclear power units a year — as we plan -  we need more effective and diligent management. And the above law will certainly help us in the matter.
