— We will face fierce competition on the Indian market

“I welcome the continuation of our cooperation with India in the sphere of NPP construction, but I would like to note that we will face very serious competition in that country as the Americans and the Europeans are actively expanding into the Indian market. I hope that we will overcome this competition.”

In the near future we should continue and successfully complete the construction of all energy units at Kudankulam: the construction of one 1,000 MW unit costs as much as $2bln.

When I was Minister, I did much to develop our cooperation with India. Our nuclear cooperation is very important for the sector and the country on the whole.
