Rashid Ismagilov, Vice Governor of Leningrad NPP

— Only new NPP can ensure further development of the region

Today, the energy sectors of many countries, for example, France, are based on NPPs. However, this has not made them ecologically unsafe: the selfsame France is quite comfortable for living.

The many-year control of the ecological situation in Sosnoby Bor has shown that Leningrad NPP has no impact on the ecological situation in the region.

On the other hand, LNPP will shortly be stopped and the question is how  the town will live further if no new plant is built?

The region needs more and more electricity and only new plant can ensure its further development.

We should understand that the construction of a new NPP is an absolutely safe and economically expedient project. After all, the town and the region will get direct state investments, new jobs and social benefits. And all this will be done with no harm to the ecology of the town and the health of its residents.
