— The law on the reformation of the nuclear power sector is one of the key economic laws in Russia

This is an innovative law. Today, we need to reform our nuclear power sector on a state level. It is not a secret that the whole world is searching for alternatives to oil, gas and electricity. I would say that nuclear power engineering is the future of the energy sector, but only provided that it is safe. The existing nuclear capacities are based on the Soviet-time technologies. They are good but time is moving on and we need new approaches.

I support the law and voted for its adoption even though I had some questions. Still, I think that the law will allow us to attract investments in the nuclear power sector and, at the same time, to preserve state control over the sphere.

I like the way the law treats personnel. I mean the inclusion of educational institutions in the structure of the holding. This, first of all, refers to the personnel who are already trained and just need retraining, adaptation to specific enterprise, specific branch they will have to work in. This can be done only within Rosatom, as this is the most professional corporate structure in the sphere.

With appropriate legislation and personnel, we will be able to guarantee nuclear security in our country.
