— Nuclear energy is ecologically safe if used reasonably

Nuclear energy is ecologically safe if used reasonably. That is the point. I think that we should consider a sensible combination of all energy sources: hydro, thermal and nuclear. For each specific region this combination should be individual, based on the region’s economic, ecological and social conditions. 

For example, wind energy is believed to be a good alternative, but this problem requires individual approach. There are places where we can build wind power plants, but to build wind power plants in places with no wind is economically insensible. Especially as ecologically it is noisy.
