– Throughout the construction of Novovoronezh NPP-2 the municipal budget will get 90bln RUR

The project does not provide for any allocations for the social development of Novovoronezh, the head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko said during his visit to Voronezh region on June 20.

It will cost some 4bln RUR to build the two units of NovNPP-2. Novovoronezh NPP is already one of the biggest tax payers in the region and, with two more units, it will pay even more. This will certainly allow to attract new investors in the region.

Still Rosatom is planning infrastructure development in the area. The project will require building new roads and houses for new employees, particularly, modern hostels. As many as 4,000 people will expectedly be recruited in the project with preference to be given to residents of Voronezh region.

The vice governor of Voronezh region Alexander Tsapin said that social development problems will not be neglected: throughout the construction the municipal budget will get over 90bln RUR in taxes.
