– The establishment of Rosatom state corporation will enhance the efficiency of Russia’s nuclear power industry

“The part of the program concerning the nuclear weapons complex will be implemented by Rosatom state corporation in cooperation with the Defense Ministry of Russia.’

“This will help us to guarantee the military-political security of Russia, to further develop the nuclear weapons complex, to preserve the quality and quantity of the nuclear reserves of the Russian army as a guarantee of the nuclear deterrence policy, to implement the state armament program 2007–2015 and to fulfill state defense orders in the coming years.”

Rosatom state corporation is being set up on the basis of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy as a non-commercial organization.

Rosatom will comprise companies and organizations acting in the nuclear weapons complex, nuclear and radiation safety, fundamental and applied science, state educational institutions and Atomenergoprom holding.
