– Network development plans must be subordinate to NPP construction program

The development of the energy sector requires constant revision of the legislation. The amendments proposed by some parliamentarians and reflected in the federal bill “On Amendment of Some Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation in Connection with the Reformation of the United Energy System of Russia” are quite timely.

However, when developing electric networks we should not forget about nuclear power industry as a source of safe and clean energy. We will not be able to develop our economy and regions without stable energy supply. So, I believe that our network development plans must be subordinate to the NPP construction program.

Hence, we should pass a law saying that network operators should adopt their investment programs on the basis of the general scheme of nuclear power facilities and should upgrade and build networks for the federal nuclear energy development program. This will ensure harmonious development of our energy system and will guarantee stable energy supply to consumers all over the country.
