– Approval of the second reading of the bill on the establishment of Rosatom state corporation was a logical step

The bill has been drafted on the instruction of the President and stipulates the establishment of a state corporation comprising both civil and military sectors of the nuclear industry.

The task of the corporation is to stabilize the work of nuclear power and nuclear weapons producers and its format is a response to modern challenges as Rosatom will have to work under market conditions both in Russia and abroad. I am sure that the bill will be approved by both the State Duma and the Federation Council.

During the second reading the deputies have made serious amendments to the bill. So, we can expect that the bill will be approved and the corporation will start its work in the first half of 2008.
