– The decision to solve the problems caused by the activities of Mayak was a fine gesture on Rosatom’s part

The decision to solve the problems caused by the activities of Mayak in the 1940s-1950s was a fine gesture on Rosatom’s part. In fact, we all were responsible for our military past. Still, Rosatom was the only to shoulder this responsibility.

We live in a civilized world, where each person, wherever he lives, has the right to live in safety. We have no right to grudge money for solving such problems.

As of today, Rosatom has reinforced the dam of the Techa Reservoir Cascade and has carried out other measures to improve the situation in the area near Mayak PA. I think that we will solve the problem of Mayak. Rosatom has all necessary means for that.
