The singing of the contract for the construction of Belene Nuclear Power Plant in Bulgaria means that Russia is returning into the European market of nuclear technologies with new innovative projects. The capacity factor of the WWER reactor to be built at Belene NPP is 90%, the lifespan is 60 years. This is a unique project. The cost of the project is almost 4,000,000,000 EUR, which is quite good for the safest reactor in the world. Today, Russia is certainly a leader in the field of civil nuclear technologies.

For the first time since the end of the Soviet era, we have offered the world a competitive product. We guarantee that the plants we will build abroad will be supplied with fuel throughout their lives. Today, many of the Eastern and Western European countries are actively developing their nuclear industries and our technologies are very attractive for them due to their high quality, safety, economic efficiency and competitive price. I am sure that we will win many more tenders and will build many more NPP abroad.
