Emergency ministries of Belarus and Russia to conduct joint exercise at Smolensk NPP

Emergency ministries of Belarus and Russia have confirmed their intention to conduct joint exercise at Smolensk NPP in the autumn 2009

This possibility was discussed during a meeting of Emergency Minister of Belarus Enver Bariyev and Deputy Emergency Minister of Russia Alexander Chupriyan in Minsk, reports BELTA.

The agreement on participation of Byelorussian rescuers in exercises of Russian emergency forces was reached during a meeting representatives of the emergency ministries of Belarus and Russia in the autumn 2008.

The Russian delegation is taking part in the celebrations of the 10th birthday of Emergency Ministry of Belarus together with rescuers of Poland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
