Atomeneroprom is consolidating NPP maintaining companies

Atomenergoprom OJSC has decided to reorganize Atomenergoremont OJSC by consolidating it with Sevatomenergoremont OJSC and Kurskturboatomenergoremont OJSC. Relevant corporate procedures are underway.

Atomenergoprom OJSC is the only shareholder of all the three companies.

Head of the Department for Management of Capital Investment Programs of Atomenergoprom OJSC Gennady Sakharov says that consolidation of Atomenergoremonts will help Atomenergoprom to better manage those companies, to optimize maintenance expenses, to improve the quality of maintenance and to effectively plan maintenance campaigns.

Director General of Atomenergoremont OJC Vladimir Minayev says that they have carried out big preparatory work. “We are turning into a big specialized maintenance company. This consolidation will help us to enhance our efficiency and to reduce our expenses,” says Minayev.

Atomenergoprom OJSC is a company specializing in maintaining nuclear power plant. It carries out 80% of all maintenance operations at the Russian nuclear power plants. It was set up by the Ministry of Energy and Electrification of USSR in 1983. It is part of Atomenergoprom OJSC. The company has branches at 8 of 10 Russian NPPs and employs over 5,000 people. Kurskurboatomenergoremont OJSC (Kurchatov, Kursk region) is a maintenance company repairing electrical equipment of the Russian nuclear power plants. The company has carried out projects at Novovoronezh, Kursk, Smolensk, Balakovo, Kalinin, Volgodonsk and foreign NPPs. Sevatomenergoremont OJSC (Polyarnye Zori, Murmansk reigon) is a company maintaining, reconstructing and modernizing electrical equipment at Kola NPP.
